Bebob batteries are designed strong, reliable, and versatile. The V98 14.4V, 98Wh V-Mount Li-Ion Battery is built to withstand falls from 4.9', yet, if it cracks for some other reason, any mechanical component is replaceable by Bebob thanks to the modular design. Similarly, when the battery capacity weakens after years of use, the batteries can be re-celled at a discount by Bebob. To help decide when to re-cell, a status alarm is built into the battery that triggers a yellow LED indicator when the capacity drops below 80% over time and a red LED when below 60%.
Another flexible aspect is the twist D-Tap. Normally you're limited to connecting a D-Tap cable only one way, the way it fits. But the V98's twist D-Tap features three pins, a positive ground pin in the center and a negative one on each side of the positive. You can plug in your cable one way or flip it around and connect it the other way. The V98 also provides a USB port for charging your mobile devices on location.
The V98 features lithium-ion trimix cells made in Japan and offers a max draw of 8A and a capacity of 98Wh. It has a 5-step LED fuel gauge and is compatible with Bebob and Anton Bauer chargers. Charging time is approximately 2 hours when using Bebob VS2/VS4 chargers.
Virtually Unbreakable: The bebob batteries are designed to survive a fall of 1.5m. Nevertheless, if one should crack, the modular concept allows any mechanical part to be replaced.
Refit: bebob batteries aren't disposables but durable equipment. When the capacity has become insufficient after years of use, batteries can be easily re-celled in our factory!
Status Alarm: In addition to the fuel gauge, bebob batteries are fitted with a Status Alarm. When the battery becomes older and its total capacity goes beyond 70% (CINE batteries 80%), the LED alarm lights yellow, under 50% (CINE batteries 60%) red. This way, you always know about the capacity of your batteries and can decide upon their refitting.
Twist D-Tap: Only bebob batteries provide the unique bebob Twist-D-Tap. This rainproof socket allows you to plug a D-Tap connector into the battery with free choice of cable trailing from the left or right.
USB Port: bebob batteries offer you an USB Port (5V 1A) to connect any USB powered device. So you can charge your smartphone or tablet directly on location!
